Mannucci Andrea

Andrea Mannucci was born in Pontremoli in 1960.
He studied piano with Rossana Bottai and achieved his diploma at the Mantova Conservatory with highest marks and distinction.
As a performer he won prizes in various piano competitions such as the 6th edition of the Competition "Pina Avagliano", Messina. Mannucci has received several prizes for his compositions: at the Sommerliche Musiktage in Hitzacker, the Castello di Belveglio prize and the Viotti prize in Vercelli, and others still. His music has been presented in some of the most important contemporary music seasons and festivals: Nuova Consonanza in Rome - Musica Nel Nostro Tempo in Milan - The Musica d'Oggi Festival - Musica Presente in Milan - Musica 9OO' in Cremona - Nuove Traiettorie Parma, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, de Unie Rotterdam, Muziekcentrum Vredenburg, Tage Neuer Kammermusik Braunschweig, etc. His present output, edited by Suvini Zerboni Editions, comprises 4 operas (Naja, an opera in four acts, libretto by Angelo Longoni, Il Canto del Sapiente Capitano, an opera in one five scene act, libretto by Angelo Longoni, Notturno, a one-act musical. His works have been broadcast in Italy and abroad. Adagio Sostenuto for six instruments and 2 Arie for baritone and chamber group on texts by Angelo Longoni have been issued on cd by Fonit Cetra.
Mannucci has taught composition at the Conservatories in Mantova and Parma and at present he holds the post as composition teacher at the "Dall'Abaco" Conservatory in Verona. posizione presso i Conservatori di Mantova e Parma e attualmente è titolare della cattedra di Composizione presso il Conservatorio "Dall'Abaco" di Verona.
